This document builds on the the first national Policy and Management Plan for the black rhinoceros in Tanzania from 1993, and is a further manifestation of the Government of Tanzania's desire to continue and strengthen its policy and conservation goals for the black rhino.

This report covers findings of a baseline study undertaken to understand communities’ 
engagement in tackling Illegal Wildlife Trade (IWT) and their involvement in developing IWT
