In 2004, the Forest Department of Kerala had succeeded in the arrest of 23 wildlife poachers.
In 2013 the Nagaland Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation Trust (NWBCT) initiated their ‘Friends of the Amur Falcon’ campaign.
The Whale Shark Conservation Project began in 2004, led by the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) in a joint venture with the Gujarat Forest Department and Tata Chemicals Ltd.
