The ‘Traditional rural life and Batwa culture trail’ is one of three new tourist trails, and other products and services, that have been developed to support poor people living close to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda.

In October 2014, the board of Uganda Wildlife Authority approved a policy change to increase the mountain gorilla tourist permit fee from US$5 to US$10 per permit.
